WILLOW AND HAZEL FENCING AND HURDLES

This is a highly durable and beautifully rustic type of fencing, rods are cut and woven from their 'green' state, which then weathers over time to many shades of brown. It is extremely low maintenance and long lasting and the perfect and unique solution for all your fencing needs. For example, it can be used for covering unsightly walls in the garden, as can be see below in a variety of photos:
The rods are firmly planted into the soil, with the main posts and middle poles also being attached to the wall behind for extra strength. Then rods are added one by one and woven to form a firm fence
This fence was done in several sections to encompass the 'stepping' of the wall behind
The tops are wired where the poles top the weaving, and then lashed with willow
The fence takes over and covers the wall, doing its job of hiding the garden next door and providing privacy within a beautiful rustic setting
The bushy ends of each rod can be left on for extra coverage and a more natural effect, or trimmed off entirely for a neater finish
This fencing can be any size or shape, can be high, or low, it can edge garden borders, create compost areas, section off the garden, or provide the perfect backdrop for climbing plants etc. It can be woven in long straight lengths, or as hurdles which can then be combined in any way required.
Screens can be ordered as well, decorative, as this one is, or plain. In a screen type format, these sections can be sited at any height around the garden, as stand-alone peices, or they can be used as fencing too.
